The European Investors Council (EIC) convened its 12th General Assembly meeting, during which the organization conducted the election of new members to the Board of Directors, who will assume their roles for the upcoming two-year term.
At the outset of the meeting, Mr. Emrush Ujkani, Director of the Council, extended his appreciation for the unwavering support and valuable contributions of the outgoing board and the members of the EIC over the years. He underscored their unwavering dedication and commitment as pivotal factors in perpetuating the organization's continued success.
Ms. Eriola Bibolli, the outgoing Chairperson of the Board, emphasized the remarkable achievements of the European Investors Council as a vital liaison between businesses and the government, particularly during the challenges faced over the past two years.
Ms. AnnaCarin Platon, Head of the Policy Section at the EU office in Kosovo, extended her congratulations to the EIC for its accomplishments and effective collaboration with the EU office. She stressed the EU's enduring support for the organization.
Mr. Sergiy Maslichenko, the Leader of the EBRD in Kosovo, expressed his satisfaction with the dynamism exhibited by the private sector in Kosovo. He highlighted the crucial role played by the EIC in fostering economic growth and attracting new investments.
The General Assembly of the Council of European Investors duly appointed the new Board of Directors, comprising the following individuals: Genond Mesareja (Sigma Vienna Insurance Group) as Chairman of the Board, Visar Paçarada (ProCredit Bank) as Deputy Chairman of the Board, Gresë Rexhepi (PwC) as Director of the Treasury of the Board, Gokhan Acikgoz (Limak Kosovo) as Secretary of the Board, and Frosina Islami (Coca-Cola HBC) as Head of Relations with the EU. As per the Council's charter, these members will serve on the Board for a two-year tenure.
Mr. Genond Mesareja, the newly elected Chairman of the EIC Board, expressed his gratitude to the EIC members who bestowed him with this responsibility. He pledged to contribute to the advancement of the Council's mission.
The Council of European Investors extends a warm welcome to the leadership of the newly elected Board and reiterates its unwavering commitment to its mission of promoting economic development, fostering cooperation, and facilitating investment opportunities from across Europe.
